Performance Expectations
• The successful candidate will be capable of investigating a variety of new or tried and true technologies to create unique design solutions for existing or next generation products.
• Prepare concept and design drawings with supporting calculations and material data ensuring that designs meet specification requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
• Maintain thorough documentation for all aspects of assigned projects.
• Contact and interact with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to investigate technologies and their applications.
• Monitor the development of new technologies and upcoming suppliers.
• Build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to enable development with new technologies.
• Design and test prototypes. Employ data collection, analysis techniques, and optimization to achieve target performance.
• Provide support in checking details, assemblies, and BOMS for assigned projects.
• Apply a wide variety of established or modified engineering methods or techniques with considerable independence of action.
• Other duties as assigned.
Credentials
• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering.
• Preference will be given to candidates registered as a Professional Engineer in China.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Designer or Electrical Design Engineer in a mobile/heavy equipment (or related) manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general electrical skills and hydraulic controls.
• Design experience with SolidWorks (with formal training preferred); experience with AutoCad desirable.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills and must be capable of thinking outside of the box.
• Exceptional research, hands Ｏn data collection, and data analysis skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
