Senior BI Developer
Support knowledge superiority through the design and development of business intelligence systems, applications, databases, and reporting to support corporate business objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Translate business requirements into potentially complex technical solutions that meet or exceed those business needs
2. Design, develop, and maintain extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) routines for importing data from heterogeneous data sources into the data warehouse using SSIS packages.
3. Optimize T-SQL code
4. Design and develop OLAP/Analysis services cubes, writing MDX scripts and OLAP cube performance tuning
5. Design and develop SSRS solutions to facilitate the presentation needs based on the structures of the data warehouse
6. Optimizing and improving the Performance of existing ETL, data warehouse and Business Intelligence applications
7. Ensuring that the development of ETL, Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions follow the establish business process.
8. Ensure smooth functioning of our development, QA, staging and production ETL processes
9. Document all ETL related work per company's methodology
10. Maintain existing code and fix bugs whenever needed
11. Be able to develop Ad-hoc data requests against Data Warehouse.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Technology
- Experience:
1. 5+ Years SQL Server Developer experience is a MUST
2. 2+ Years of Data Warehouse, ETL design and architecture experience
3. Experience with large databases with high transaction volume in a fast-paced, production environment
4. Experience in developing, tuning, managing, maintaining and administering reports
5. Real-world experience in implementing large scale databases and data warehouses
6. Skills & Knowledge:
7. Strong Relational and Data Warehouse design and implementation skills, with full understanding of the underlying fundamentals
8. Strong in Microsoft SQL 2005 SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and MDX query
9. Superb knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, RDBMS, and Cube Design
10. Expert in SQL Coding
11. Expert in Query Performance Tuning
12. Excellent problem-solving skills, a self-starting attitude and good communication skills are essential.
13. Expert in T-SQL language
14. Strong Data Modeling Experience
15. Knowledge in MicroStrategy is a plus
16. Knowledge in Performance Point is a Plus.
